One photo for every NTS test.
The NTS portal asks for a passport-size profile photo with a blue or white background. Crop yours to 35 × 45 mm here and save a small JPG.
When you register on the National Testing Service (NTS) candidate portal, you add a profile photo that is used for your test applications. This page crops your picture to passport size and keeps the file small. It is an unofficial tool and not part of NTS.
What NTS asks for
The NTS candidate portal manual (May 2022) says the profile photo should be passport size with a blue or white background, and that the maximum size allowed for all images is 5 MB.
The manual doesn’t give a pixel size or a file format. Some NTS tests and recruitment projects set their own rules in the advertisement, so read yours before you upload.
How to make the photo
- Take the picture against a plain white or light blue wall in even light, looking straight at the camera.
- Add it above. Photo size is already set to 35 × 45 mm, the usual passport size in Pakistan.
- Drag the frame so your face fills most of it, then click Use this crop.
- Download the JPG. It is saved under 200 KB, far below the 5 MB limit.
Blue or white background
Either is accepted. If your wall is another colour, open the settings and set Background to White or Light blue. It is done on your device, but the first use downloads about 30 MB.
Other images NTS may ask for
Depending on the test, you may also upload documents such as your CNIC or degrees. The same 5 MB limit applies to all images in the manual we checked. Our Compress image tool can shrink a large scan, and CNIC front and back on one page puts both sides of your card on a single page.
Check before you upload
- Your face is clear and centred, with your eyes open.
- The background is plain white or blue.
- The photo is recent and looks like you today.
- The file is under 5 MB. Ours will be under 200 KB.

Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device.
Can it change the background to white?
Yes. Set Background to White or Light blue. It works best on a head-and-shoulders photo; some official forms still ask for an unedited photo, so check the rules.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Take or pick a photo right on your phone; nothing is uploaded.
Is this connected to NTS?
No. Treeet is an independent, unofficial tool. Register and apply only on the official NTS portal.
Does NTS want a particular pixel size?
The manual we checked gives only passport size, a blue or white background and the 5 MB limit. If your test notice sets pixels, use our Resize image tool.
Can I use the same photo for my next NTS test?
Usually yes, as long as it is recent and your test notice doesn’t ask for something different.
