What’s JPG?
The most widely supported photo format. Opens on every device, app and website.
JPG to PDF turns one or more JPG photos into a single PDF, one photo per page, in the order you choose. It’s free and works in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.
How to convert JPG to PDF
- Click Choose photos, or drop JPG or JPEG files anywhere on the page.
- Put them in order with the up and down arrows next to each photo. The top photo becomes page 1. Use × to remove one.
- Pick the page size, orientation and margin in the settings panel if the defaults (A4, automatic orientation, small margin) don’t suit you.
- Press Create PDF, then Download.
What the settings do
Each photo is centered and scaled to fill the space inside the margins without changing its shape. Small photos are scaled up to fit the page, which can make them look soft when printed.
- Page size: A4, US Letter, or Same as the picture. Same as the picture makes each page exactly the shape of its photo, sized at 96 pixels per inch, so there are no empty bands.
- Orientation: Auto (follow each picture) gives landscape photos a landscape page and portrait photos a portrait page. Portrait or Landscape forces every page the same way. It doesn’t apply when the page size is Same as the picture.
- Margin: None, Small (a quarter inch) or Large (half an inch) of white space around each photo.
Photo quality
JPGs are placed into the PDF as they are, without being compressed again, so the PDF is about as big as all your photos together. Photos that your phone saved sideways with a rotation tag are turned upright.
That also means the PDF prints as sharply as the photos allow. A 12-megapixel phone photo has more than enough detail for a full A4 or Letter page; a small image saved from a chat app or website may look soft when it’s stretched to fill the page.
Common problems and fixes
- The PDF is too large to send: compress it with Compress PDF, or shrink the photos first with Compress image.
- There is white space around the photos: set Margin to None, or choose Same as the picture so each page matches its photo.
- You also have PNG or HEIC files: use Image to PDF, which takes a mix of photo formats.
- Your photos are of paper documents: Document scanner straightens and cleans each page before making the PDF.
Tips
- Changing the order or a setting after creating the PDF? Press the button again to rebuild it.
- Need page numbers? Run the result through Add page numbers.
- To add the photos to an existing PDF, create this PDF first and then combine both with Merge PDF.
Privacy
The PDF is built by your browser. Your photos stay on your device, which is worth knowing when they show IDs, receipts or family pictures.

Questions
Are my files uploaded?
Never. JPG to PDF conversion runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.
Can I convert many at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like and download them all as one ZIP.
Is there a size limit?
Only your device’s memory. Even long PDFs take seconds on a computer.
Does converting JPG to PDF reduce photo quality?
No. The JPG data goes into the PDF unchanged, so the photos look exactly like the originals.
Can I put two photos on one page?
No. Each photo gets its own page. For an ID card’s front and back on one page, use ID card front & back.
How big will the PDF be?
About the total size of the photos you add, since they aren’t compressed again. Use Compress PDF afterwards if you need it smaller.
Can I make a PDF from photos on my phone?
Yes. Choose photos from your gallery in your phone’s browser, set the order and download the PDF.
Which page size should I choose?
A4 or US Letter if the PDF will be printed or submitted as a document. Same as the picture for photo albums or screenshots you only view on screen.
Why is my photo smaller than the page?
Photos keep their shape, so a photo that’s a different shape from the page leaves white space. Choose Same as the picture to remove it.
