About Treeet

Treeet is 120 free tools for everyday file jobs: converting photos and documents, working with PDFs, and preparing photos, signatures and ID copies for online forms.

Why we built it

Most online converters ask you to upload your file to their server. That is slow for big files, and it means handing over things like ID cards, bank statements and contracts to a company you know nothing about. Treeet does the same jobs without the upload.

How it works

Every tool runs inside your web browser. The conversion code is downloaded with the page and runs on your own phone or computer, using JavaScript and WebAssembly, the same technology browsers use for games and video editors. Your file is read from your device, converted in memory, and saved back to your device.

Check it yourself

You don't have to take our word for it. On a computer, open your browser's developer tools (F12 in Chrome or Edge), go to the Network tab, then convert a file. You will see the page's own scripts load, but no request carrying your file. You can also turn off Wi-Fi after the page loads and the tool will still work.

What's inside

The tools are built on well-known open-source libraries such as FFmpeg, pdf.js, pdf-lib and libheif. You can see the full list on our open-source licenses page.
